Partnership for Decent Work in Fisheries: Promoting the ratification and implementation of the Work in Fishing Convention No 188

Description

The International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Commission (EC) will convene the first major event under the new Partnership for Decent Work in Fisheries, designed to turn political momentum into technical exchange on how best to strengthen labour protection in the fishing sector.

The programme will open with remarks by high-level representatives of governments, international institutions and civil society, followed by a panel discussion bringing together perspectives from government, workers, employers and academia on how to translate political commitment into concrete progress towards ratification and implementation.

Simultaneous translation available in English, French, Spanish.
